New updates!

It's been a while since my last news update on the website. I've been working a lot on update lately. Most of them are behind the scenes to make the website easier to manage. One of those updates is the ability to add admins to a tournament.

From now on, you will see a lot a tournaments hosted by other people. I don't have the vast amounts of time I had when I started the site anymore so I had to come up with a solution. Having other people manage tournaments for me when I'm not available really helps me out. It also makes it a lot easier for me to stick to a weekly schedule. You can see the admins for a particular tournament on the tournament details page. Right below the tournament settings (start time, amount of players, etc) there will be an item called 'Admins', listing all the admins for that tournament. As you can see, the 5v5 tournament coming up this weekend is hosted by Belgium MinatO1337. Belgium Bekkerke takes care of some 1v1 tournaments from time to time. Whenever you have a question about the tournament or the website, please contact the tournmant admin if I am not available.

Another update is the ability to add screenshots to a match. Whenever you see the screenshots icon next to a match score in the bracket, you can click that icon and view all the uploaded screenshots for that match. If you want to add your own screenshots, just navigate to the match detail page (where you enter and approve your score) and upload your screenshots.

I also implemented a better solution for the match score entering. You used to get the 'your opponent has already entered a score for this match' message whenever you entered a score and while you were doing it, your opponent submitted the score. After the update, when you enter the same score as your opponent, the match will automaticly be approved without you having to read the error message and clicking the 'approve' button again.

There was also a change in the tournament points section. When a tournament has less than 4 participants, the tournament points are divided by 3. This is keep tournament point inflation down to a minimum (and keep sponsors interested in giving away prices for your tournament points). To reflect this change, it now says 'up to ... tournament points' on the tournament detail page. The recalculation of tournament points is done at the moment the tournament starts.

All the other updates are behind the scenes. One of them includes less spam from score entry on a match. Noone really needs those e-mails anyway

Oh and talking about spam. I've had a lot of feedback on the 'new tournament created' e-mail. If you no longer play LoL or no longer want to participate in the FinalFrag.be tournaments, you can now turn those e-mails off. You can change your communication settings on the 'my profile' page. There is also a link in the 'new tournament created' e-mail for your convience.

If you have anything else you would like to see added to or removed from the website, don't hesitate to contact me about it. I do read every e-mail I get and I do implement all the features (that make sense ).

To Long, Didn't Read: more admins, added screenshots, changed tournament points system, less spam.
